Many of the documents available from this page and elsewhere on the web site are in Adobe's PDF format. These need a reader, which is freely available from Adobe's web site, here:

The reader is available for Windows, Mac OS and Unix. Linux users will find their installation already has several PDF viewers, though Adobe also offer their own reader from the above link. There are probably viewers for every other platform you can think of - for example, there is one for RISC OS here.
