Cambridge welcomes its first professional diving coach

I am very pleased to announce some great news. We have now appointed a Diving Development Officer / Head Diving Coach and it gives me great pleasure to welcome James Etherington.

James has enjoyed a very successful diving career, with many national and international successes. He has come from the highly regarded Leeds Diving Programme where, more recently, he has been a senior coach.

James will be working full time on developing diving in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. He will be responsible for all the lesson schemes (currently run by City Swim), Club diving and promotion of diving to a much wider audience. The current team of coaches and teachers will all still be involved and supporting James in everyway we can.

I know you will all agree we have been very lucky to appoint James. I am confident he will do a very good job and quickly make Cambridge one of the premier diving centres. If you need to contact him, he is usually in the Club office (01223 446139) or on poolside.
