Individual Events

The first Cambridge diver to perform was Anne Murray in the womens' 40-49 championship event. Anne came second to her synchro partner with a score of 157.55 points.

The next events with Cambridge divers were the womens' 16-24 championship and womens' 16-29 novice. The former was won by Emily Manktelow (diving under her home club of Royal Tonbridge Wells Monson) with a score of 216.40. Ulrike Lange also brought a good result for a club with a score of 147.10 points and fifth place. The novice category saw Kyle Treiber make her first competitive appearance for the club. Kyle won an impressive second place with a score of 117.90 points.

Finally for the Saturday's competition, Huw Griffiths and Andrew Carnall represented the club in the mens' 25-29 championship and 16-29 novice events respectively. Huw finished in second place in his competition with a score of 172.05; Andy sixth in his with 84.80.

The Sunday morning started with the last couple of individual events. Richard Bowers surprised himself with an unexpected third place in the mens' 30-39 championship category and a score of 135.30.

Synchronized Events

The 22 pair strong synchronized competition started mid morning on the Sunday. Cambridge was represented by Anne (diving with her regular synchro partner Barbara Heathfield from Bedford Diving Club), Huw and Ulrike (diving as a pair) and Richard (a last minute entry, diving with Terina Callaghan from Ilford Diving Club). Anne and Barbara performed exceptionally well to come second with 235.10 points. Huw and Ulrike came an impressive seventh with 187.70 points. Richard and Terina finished 19th with 124.05: good for Terina who has only been diving for a couple of months; Richard is still looking for an excuse.

Special thanks to Kathryn Horler for travelling down to support us, and to all those who organised the event.
