National Skills Championships 2007

Young diver Martin Christensen, only 8 years old, impressed both judges and spectators at the ASA National Skills Finals Competition held in Plymouth. Diving in his first National event and despite a shaky start, Martin showed his competitive edge and held his nerve to win silver medal with an impressive 274.60 points for 12 dives. Martin started in Cambridge's Learn To Dive programme and is now aiming to pass the National Junior Talent Programmes testing in September - a programme aimed at Britain's talented young divers.
