County Championship Results

Cambridge Parkside Pools was host to the 2024 diving county championships meet. This competition saw divers compete in both springboard and platform events over the course of one evening.

The first event was the 1m and in the junior girls’ category Florence Tibbatts took the gold medal with Sophia Howard just behind. Ryan church took the top spot in the junior boys. The senior women was a hotly contested event with Amelia Aldridge taking bronze, Tobi Fayomi collecting silver and Daisy Halls winning Gold – all girls performing some great dives. The senior men’s event was won by Finn McFarlane, with Rufus Bord in second closely followed by Dominic Williams in third.

The second event was the 3m springboard in which Ryan Church again took the gold in the junior boys. The rankings for junior girls flipped from the 1m event, this time Sophia taking the gold and Florence in second place. Daisy secured her second gold medal of the evening in the senior women’s event, with Amelia picking up second and Tobi close behind in third. The men’s event was once again won by Finn but with Charles Tibbatts in second with Rufus in third.

The final event of the day was the Platform event. Ryan picked up his third gold medal of the day along with the Junior Boys County trophy. Amelia took the gold medal in the Senior women’s event, also being awarded the Senior Women’s County trophy. Rufus Bord took the Senior Men’s trophy with a second-place finish in the platform event whilst Charles secured the gold. The junior Girls County trophy was won by Florence Tibbatts for her fantastic diving across the events.
