Welfare of our Divers

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our members.

Our Welfare Officer is here to provide guidance and support on all safeguarding and welfare issues. We take the welfare of our swimmers seriously and adhere to the safeguarding standards set out by Swim England.

Responsibilities of the Welfare Officer

  • Ensure the club complies with Swim England’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Act as a point of contact for parents, swimmers, and coaches regarding any welfare concerns.
  • Handle all welfare concerns with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as Swim England and other relevant organisations when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with training on child protection, safeguarding, and welfare issues.

Safeguarding Policies

We follow Swim England’s Wavepower policies, designed to protect all members involved in aquatics. These policies include guidance on:

  • Child protection and safeguarding
  • Anti-bullying
  • Code of conduct for swimmers, parents, and coaches
