Welcome to our competive squad!

Our competitive squad has a proud history of competing at regional and national level. As a club we attend around 15 events around the country each year; covering all ability levels, from novice and divers’ first experience of a competition, to our experienced divers competing at national level.

Divers who started their careers at Cambridge Dive Team have gone on to represent their country and win International and Olympic medals.  It was wonderful to welcome Daniel Goodfellow back to our club in 2016 for tea and cake after his bronze medal synchro success at the Olympic games.

Our senior coaches Alice and Dan pride themselves on defining individual plans for each and every squad member according to their ambition.  From “Novice” to “National Age Groups” and “Elite” there’s a squad that’s right for you with regular reviews and progression as you make progress.

Training is carried out through a combination of pool and dryland sessions, incorporating flexibility, agility and of course lots of strengthening and conditioning (you know you love it!)

Some of our divers join us having successfully completed our Learn To Dive programme while others come from other sports including gymnastics and trampolining.

So if you are an experienced diver looking to join a new competitive team read more to see our current squad structure. Alternatively, why not contact us to find out about our squads, training times and fees.  Best of all why not arrange to come down on a squad training session and meet us in person!

Squads and Team Structure

At Cambridge Dive Team we offer a flexible squad structure to cater for all those at the competitive level. We are always looking for talented children in our Learn to Dive lessons, holiday camps and taster sessions who could be competitive divers. Children are selected to join our squads by the head coach if they possess the physical and mental attributes to become a competitive diver.
